Letters of recommendation
If you’re a student that has taken a class from me either at Penn State or at Rutgers, or was part of my AI and Math research group at Rutgers, I’ll be happy to write a letter of recommendation for you. Please feel free to email me at: ayush.khaitan@princeton.edu.
Transitioning to AI and Math
I got my PhD in geometric analysis, and now work in both AI and Math and geometry (several of my projects involve solving and formalizing problems in geometry using AI/computational tools). If you’re interested in transitioning to AI and Math as well, feel free to email me, and I’ll be happy to talk about my journey as well as several things that I learned along the way.
Hobbies
I find it very meaningful to read the classics, as well as blogs like Astralcodexten and Numb at the Lodge. Also a huge fan of history podcasts: I’ve listened to everything that Mike Duncan has created. Listening to his The History of Rome podcast in grad school, and then going to Rome to actually see those sights in person, is one of my core memories.
Always happy to talk books, and get recommendations!
Academic harrassment
Academic harrassment can be a uniquely debilitating and traumatic experience. If you are currently facing harrassment, feel free to email me. I will be happy to set up a meeting to offer a listening ear, as well as any guidance about relevant resources that I may be able to provide.
I would also like to take this opportunity point you to the awesome Ishan Mata, who has done extremely important work in this regard by filing legal cases concerning alleged harassment cases, often going into his own pockets to do so.
